Dear Neighbor,
As the founder of Harlem Lofts Inc. and Harlem Property Management Inc., Upper Manhattan’s boutique real estate service firms, I am delighted to invite you to participate in our program to decorate Renaissance Harlem with elegant retro lighting to celebrate the Holiday Season! Starting November 7th, these glamorous 1960’s-style large-retro blue bulbs have been gracing our offices at 270 and 272 Lenox Avenue at 124th Street, and five (5) Harlem townhouses in celebration of Diwali, the sacred Hindu Festival of Lights. Starting this week, December 5th, these will be followed by lights decorating an additional twenty (20) Harlem townhouses, in celebration of Chanukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.
We would like to give you the option to be one of these townhomes! Alternatively, you can nominate the home of a neighbor, especially someone in need of help this season. To sign up, all that is required is to go to our enrollment sheet by “clicking here”. The twenty homes to be decorated will be selected based on the date and time of signup, and on the basis of need. The lights and timer will be installed at no charge by our sister company Harlem Property Re+Development, a licensed and insured Construction (HPRED.com) company that will be stringing over 4,000 lights total during this holiday project! The lights will be taken down the week of January 5th.
Harlem Lofts Inc. and Harlem Property Management Inc. fund this project in acknowledgment of the beauty of Upper Manhattan. The lighting used in this celebration is inspired by my childhood memories, and the current design is an earth-friendly LED version of the large-retro bulbs you may remember from the 1960s. As our neighbors walk around Harlem at night, they will see the vintage-style blue holiday lighting outlining homeowners’ elegant townhouses! This annual event is my way to say Thank You to Harlem and my neighbors for their instrumental role in my life and businesses, and to show appreciation and festivity for the community in which I not only work, but also live with my family, and where I and my wife Nidhi are raising our 4 Harlem-born boys, Nikhil, Jet, Axel, and Zaven. We look forward to continuing this annual tradition long into the future. Happy Holidays!
